1997 Proflex 857

I picked this up yesterday with the intention of parting it out for bit and selling the frame and forks on.

However I've been for a couple of short spins on it now and I'm suprised just how well it rides. I've never really got on with full sussers, I've tried a few in the past, but not found one I liked. Up until now. It might become a regular part of the fleet.

What the forks like?

I'm seriously impressed by the forks, I've not really given them a proper bashing yet, but the do seem to be very good.

They track really well, much better than cheap newer forks, because the legs are rigid and set up together. With the cheap forks I've had the legs worked at different speeds, so there was flex in them, but these are rock solid.

The travel is smooth and I've yet to bottom them out.

I got a set coming to me soon, got a risse shock for them as well . Should be nice.
